The Heritage Singers were formed in 2004 to encourage the voice of women in an area where male choirs are predominant. The Choir attracts members from the Rhondda Fawr, Rhondda Fach and surrounding areas and from all walks of life including nurses, teachers, housewives, or any lady who enjoys singing and the company of like minded people.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday in Tabor Hall, Vaughan Street, Pwllgwaun, Pontypridd, CF37 1HR at 7.00 p.m to commence singing at 7.15 p.m. to 9.15 p.m.

Tabor Hall was originally built as a place of worship, serving the believers of the Methodist faith for many years and the late Lord Tonypandy preached there on many occasions. The demise of the Christian worship at many chapels in the sixties and seventies resulted in the inevitable closure of Tabor Hall as a place of worship.

Tabor Hall is also the home of Cor Meibion Pontypridd.

New members are welcome. There is no voice test and a warm welcome is extended to all who wish to join.

The Future

The Choir and Musical Staff look forward to the future with enthusiasm, a joy of singing and entertaining audiences with a varied and exciting repertoire.
